Naeem Khan

Naeem Khan

“With the help of Rosario Kennedy, one of the finest lobbyists in Miami, I am well on the way to making my vision a reality. I have relied heavily on her guidance from the very beginning of my migration to Miami and through the various intricacies of the building process.”

Rosario Kennedy & Associates has led the way for Naeem Khan’s relocation from NYC to Miami, negotiating with County officials for a parcel of surplus land on the Miami River and gaining the full support of both Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami. “We look at the Naeem Khan Miami development as more than a new business on the Miami River; we look at it as an opportunity for Miami to build its reputation as a high-fashion center! We believe Naeem Khan’s migration will be the impetus for others of his caliber and international fame to choose Miami as their home”, says Rosario.

Naeem Khan chose Miami to build his new manufacturing facility and showrooms partly for the climate which will allow for year-round production. More specifically, he chose the Miami River location for the import of textiles and other materials, as well as the unique boating experience of ushering internationally famous clients in and out of his Haute Couture House for fittings and fashion shows. “Miami’s labor force is also a great attraction with its large population of Central and South American people who are familiar with hand crafted fabrics and embroidery”, said Mr. Khan.

His plan also includes a vocational school built on his campus with focused curriculums encompassing all facets of the fashion world. For students with a serious career path in fashion, he will mentor high school and college interns at his own facility and will, additionally, provide in-house training programs to target Miami’s labor force and open employment opportunities.

About Naeem Khan

Born and raised in Mumbai, Naeem Khan cultivated a vast knowledge of textiles under the watchful eyes of his grandfather and father, who both designed intricate clothing worn by the royal families. He ultimately moved to the United States as a teenager to become a designer and launched his career as an apprentice for legendary American designer Halston at the age of 20. He eventually merged this design philosophy with the knowledge he gained from his family’s business to nurture his own unique style, and the Naeem Khan design aesthetic was born.

Since launching his collection, his sophisticated gowns and elegant separates have adorned glamorous women around the world, including Queen Noor of Jordan, First Lady Michelle Obama, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Penélope Cruz, and Katy Perry, to name a few. Today, the Naeem Khan ready-to-wear and bridal collections are sold at more than 200 department stores and specialty boutiques across the world.
